The veterinary team at the Companion Pet Hospital believes strongly in the importance of community involvement. We are active in local animal care and rescue groups and take great pride in helping the people and animals within our community.

Rescue Groups We Work With

Companion Pet Hospital currently works with the following rescue groups:

Happy Life Animal Rescue, a foster-based animal rescue serving the Hudson Valley, NY. We provide veterinary care including vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery to pets at HLAR. We are happy to offer a complimentary first physical within the first 30 days of a pet’s adoption from HLAR.

Mid Hudson Animal Aid, a free-range, no-kill cat sanctuary in Beacon, New York. We provide veterinary care to the feline residents, including dental procedures, surgery, and emergency care. When cats are adopted from Mid Hudson Animal Aid, we offer a complimentary first physical at our office within 30 days of your pet’s adoption. Visit our special offers page for more details!

Dutchess County SPCA, a no-kill animal shelter in Hyde Park, New York. We offer a complimentary first physical within the first 30 days of a pet’s adoption from DCSPCA. Dr. Jankunas was excited to be an honoree at the event, A Toast to the Animals, on September 26, 2015.

Putnam Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter in Carmel, NY. We offer a complimentary first physical within the first 30 days of a pet’s adoption from PHS.

Lady’s Legacy Equine Rescue, a group devoted to promoting the well-being of horses. Dr. Frederick works closely with this group as their primary attending veterinarian. He performs all preventive care, evaluations of new rescues, emergency medical care, adoption counseling, and more.

Stray HELP, rescues, fosters, and adopts out cats and kittens in the Dutchess County area of NY’s Hudson Valley. We offer a complimentary first physical within the first 30 days of a pet’s adoption from Stray HELP.
