Let me tell you how great Companion Animal Hospital is. Out German Shepherd is 11 and 1/2 years old, she was scheduled for a visit with another local vet who at this point shall remain nameless, in order to visit the veterinarian we have to give our dog a mild sedative to calm her anxiety. Unfortunately this anxiety medicine really does a number on our dog. I say this just to set the tone for how I ended up at, Companion Animal Hospital.

As I mentioned we had made an appointment another local veterinarian's office gave our dog a sedative, arrived at the said veterinarian and was informed that we did not in fact have an appointment, or we missed an appointment or we didn't actually confirm an appointment there were a lot of excuses but ultimately we weren't able to get in to see the veterinarian. Our German Shepherd had a visible sore on her elbow that was infected and this vet at the other animal hospital actually refused to fit us in even though we had an appointment, and then we didn't have an appointment or we couldn't afford the appointment. They had a bunch of excuses, but nonetheless they refused to see us.

This is where Companion Animal Hospital comes in. In a last ditch attempt to get our dog in to see a doctor, I called Companion in Fishkill and low and behold they were able to squeeze us in. Not only did they have one appointment available they had two and were able to fit us in immediately.

We chose the earlier appointment drove to Carmel to see Dr. Jankus who was wonderful. The office manager Jen was amazing, the vet techs were great. Our pet is still under their care at the moment and awaiting results from a biopsy and a minor procedure. But they have followed up the day of, the day after over the weekend, they were just simply amazing.

I highly highly recommend Companion Animal Hospital.

The staff here are all so kind snd warm. They’ve helped Dottie so much since we adopted her. She had a lot of health issues that needed to be identified. They’ve done so much to heal her that she looks like a completely new dog! We LOVE coming here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vet!

It was my first visit for four puppies, and I was nervous. The staff and the doctor were so very reassuring and they treated the puppies with such care, that I quickly knew the puppies were truly in wonderful hands. From the preregistration on-line paperwork for each puppy, to email confirmation everything was done with such organization that it made the puppies visit run so smoothly. I can't wait to make the next appointments for my adult dogs, because I have faith they will be cared for by a wonderful team of professionals!

Everyone at the Office —from the vet techs to the assistants and the vet, could not have been nicer or more helpful. They also made every effort to make our dog, who is very fearful, comfortable. The vet also called me right away when there was an issue with my dog and made recommendations.

If I were able to leave more than 5 stars I would. Unfortunately, my cat got his paw stuck in a toy leaving his foot cut / swollen.
Called multiple vets / emergency clinics only to have my calls sent to voicemail or turned away for not being an existing client…
Companion Pet Hospital was able to get me in right away.
Dr. Moore was very polite and professional, along with her vet techs (I did not catch their names).
Gracie and Kim at the front desk were more than accommodating, very sweet, and helpful.
I am beyond appreciative of the staff that work at this facility, thank you for all your help and most importantly thank you for helping my little buddy!!!

I can't say enough about the Companion Pet Hospital of Carmel team. The experience starts with the admin staff being very professional, personable, and ready with a smile. The assistants are great with our pets, answer our questions, and are easy to work with. All of the doctors are AMAZING. They take the time to talk to you, answer your questions, and really put you at ease. This is the best place to take your pets for quality care.

Recently had a nice visit to get my German Shepherd's ears checked out. She had a double ear infection. The staff was super nice and helpful and she received the medicine she needed. I was a little annoyed when they charged an extra $28.50 for a 3 minute ear cleaning on top of the $80.00 visitation charge. It was excessive and not appreciated on a $280 bill. Aside from that we had a great experience and I will definitely be bringing my dog her going forward.

Companion Pet Hospital of Carmel is the BEST! The staff is wonderful, caring, patient and very understanding. I brought my dog Mya to their office (1st time) since my other vet was booked and recommended Companion Pet Hospital to us. Mya wasn't acting herself, not feeling well so Dr. Lecaro did some blood work and unfortunately Mya was anemic and had kidney failure so we decided not to let her suffer anymore and had her euthanized the same day in my arms with my son by my side. Companion Pet Hospital of Carmel is highly recommended by me. They made us feel very satisfied with their services and care. They also sent us a sympathy card with Mya's nose and paw prints and a condolence from each staff member too which made us so glad to keep. When we picked up her ashes a few weeks later, Kim handed my son the bag with respect. Thank you very much to all the staff.
